Ls1 stock. Replacing spark plugs

My stock lt1 spark plug change took three hours. Getting ready to do a ls1 stock for the first time. How long should it take? Any special tools or tricks for these? What are the best plugs for them? Thanks!

Re: Ls1 stock. Replacing spark plugs

I used NGK Iridium plugs

If your running nitrous use a regular copper plug.

The LS1 should be a bit quicker,#8 needs to be done from the bottom.

Re: Ls1 stock. Replacing spark plugs

I get #8 with a tiny snap-on 1/4" ratchet, a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter, and then a standardplug socket on the end. It is blind but I am pretty good at it after doing it a few dozen times. I always pull off the coilpacks too to make it easier to get my hands in there.

Re: Ls1 stock. Replacing spark plugs

Took two hours including a compression check. Eight is crazy, but only took forty minutes. Thank goodness it was not on tight and threaded in easy. Thanks for your help!
