You could always put a Girdle on it.
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=28282
It keeps the differential from flexing under load. Kinda like SFC's for your rear end.

Exclamation

Don't order the cover for the 8.5" though.............someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the (stock) rear ends in our cars are the 7.5" ring gear, right?

............don't worry though............Summit still has them too!

is it a stick or an auto? if it is a stick and u want low 12's,consider that thing toast. if auto, u will prolly be alright. dont waste your money on the girdle. your best bet would be to weld your axle tubes. also, what gear are u planning on running. the higher(number), the bigger risk u take

the most i would go is 3.73's with the stock rear end. its an m6 . if i can't do this, are there any good axles i could look for in the junkyards (like older rear ends) i don't have traction control but do have abs which am willing to get rid of in the rear

thanks,
mike
