Gauges going Haywire and car is trying to stall

Our 2001 Z28 Camaro has been out of commission for a while. Finally got her back on the road with a new battery, an a/c compressor and a few other minor things like fuel filter, oil change and other pm. She drove perfect for the first day but twice today all the gauges went haywire, dropped down to nothing, came back to normal and back down again. The car also attempted to stall out unless the gas pedal was applied. I got home, went back out for a short trip and again she drove perfectly. Does anyone have any clue what could be causing this. The fuses are all ok and the battery has a secure connection, I'm at a loss as to what could be going on.

Check grounds, sounds like your car is losing voltage briefly.
