engine swap questions

i want to put a modern engine in my 68 camaro because i like the look of them and the increased power but i am on a budget what would you guys recommend i dont need the top of the line engine i just want a good looking engine and what would you recommend and why? thanks

lt1's are cheap, but I don't know what you think looks "good". ls1's look good too, but they're much more expensive.

You can buy a 5.3 truck motor if you look for under 1k with a trans usually. Then just put a ls1 intake on it and you have a iron block ls1 just with 5.3 ci. or you can do a 6.0 truck motor but people usually want an arm and a leg for those. When it comes time for a stand alone harness give me a message ill help you out with that.
