Bolt-on help

to start off i have an 02 ss bone stock. i got some money to put in the engine and i'm gonna start off with some bolt ons..i was thinkin a set of hooker headers, prob 2 rear nitto nt5s cause she needs em.. now i'm not sure if i should stick with that and add to that list or what should i start off with?
also do you recommend lowering it while your addin all the bolt ons?

The headers sound like a good place to start.

I wouldn't lower the car as it's already pretty low...

You'll get more out of the headers if you do a full exhaust (high flow cats, cat back).

I'd get a K&N air filter if I were you.

that does sound good. i was thinkin go exaust too but i'm out in cali and there super strict on smog so i still want to pass the smog test because my ss is my daily driver.

You should be fine with full exhaust as long as you keep cats and O2s.

If its an A4 do a high stall converter, keep the cats, CAI, some gears,

Why would he get a CAI if he has an SS that is ram air?

the suggestion is to get a cai, but on a 98+ car; really that means - get an aftermarket lid. The ss and ws6 hoods aren't sealed, and while they may give some effect of cooler air at speed; an aftermarket lid still has the same effect as on a regular ls1 car.

well worth it as an upgrade.
