anyone still with oil consumption on their LS1

Thanks for the info. My wife's car is a 98 but still has the same issues. It is a 6 speed but she never runs the car hard. The highest rpm she's ever seen was 4000 rpm! I drive it a little differently, but have only driven it maybe 10 times in the 4 years we've owned it.
The dealer will pull it down, but will charge us if they don't find anything wrong. That's no gonna happen as I don't trust these guys at all! I asked them if they'd be happy with a car that would blow up if you ever tried to run it 3000 miles without adding oil; it's usually 2 quarts down by 1300-1500 miles, which they've verified by doing an on-going oil consumption test. I just wondered if there was anything in writing from GM that stated at a certain level of useage they'd replace/repair the car. This dealer says there isn't and the only option is to let them tear it down and HOPE they discover something wrong to let the warranty take care of.
