3200 on 98 SS

i was wondering if my stock rear end will handle a vig or tci 3200 stall?? i will have nittos on it also. any info will help greatly.

seems kinda high..... do you have 3.73 or a 4.10 gear? If you have the 4.10 I wouldn't do it. If you have a 3.73 stock gear then it will be interesting to see.....if you want brutal, my buddy re-built his trans, burnt out the old one, put a 4.10 gear and a 3,200 stall and makes it seem like for every 4 miles he's really doing one, and when he's doing 90 on the highway i swear its like 45-50 miles an hour......

You shouldn't have any problems with any gear ratio. I have a Vig3200 on my SS (3.23s stock), but if you have 2.73s it will still work great. Converters are the best mod for any auto vehicle.

I'm running a Vig 3200 with a 3.42 rear out of a '98 M6 car - no problems, even with abusing it on the street.
