2000 Z28 Intake Mod Question
Can the LS6 intake from the '00 SS's LS6 be bolted onto the '00 Z28's LS1 engine, without also swapping out the cam for the SS's version? Would the intake alone be a worthwhile upgrade to the LS1? Would adding the LS6's intake also require the LS6's MAF be installed along with it? Wouldn't the Z28's LS1 also need a chip update or Tech II re-program for the improved intake setup?

You will gain about 15hp.
A tune isn't neccesary but will help.
Your stock MAF is fine.
Best Cat Back for the money is the Magnaflow.

Re: 2000 Z28 Intake Mod Question
i have a 99 & was scratching my head thinking did they have ls6 intakes in 2000? if you have an ls6 intake it will fit, mine was an slp corvette ls6 . i had to have my EGR deleted with a mail order tune. also my ls6 came with a TB bypass metal tube. warning, be very careful with the sensor on the back of the intake, my mechanic broke / cracked the tiny wire to the sensor which cost me $100 to diagnose & fix. if you dont already have a tune at some point you should get one to take full advantage of the speed parts you've added. it will work without a tune.
