autotrader.com - thats also how I bought mine, searched the site daily until one appeared that just arrived...decided to buy a car 100 miles away I hadn't seen in person.....best decision I ever made.

I just bought a 98 navy blue metallic Z28, 6spd, leather, T's, all stock unmolested, with 61500 mi on it. I paid $10900. Don't know if I got a hell of a deal or not. I talked them down from almost $12K at a used dealership, plus had them do a bumper to bumper detail. But they didn't fill my gas tank. what cheap a$$es.

its common sense if the car is no longer made and there is still a demand for them they can pretty much charge what they want. cause if you want it bad enough your going to pay it. the ones in high demand are 1993-2002 because of the body style. and most likey prices will be at a stand still or rising for are cars cause right now american sports cars are popular.

roughly 10% of production Z's were 6-speeds and probably 60-70% of that 10% are cars that have been wrecked or had the crap beat out of. Not many people get a 6 speed because they cant afford the auto... they a get a 6 speed to use it like a 6 speed. I paid 9k for my 95z... because I had been looking forever. The car was optioned perfectly, exactly what I wanted, and very well cared for (a big thing in MI) so I didnt hesitate to make my move. I have not regretted it one bit, although it would be nice not have to pay off the $1500 I still owe on it.

Hmmm, it seems that everybody else is trying to rip you off and you're just trying to pay a fair price. On the other hand, it probably wouldn't bother you nearly as much if you were selling and not looking to buy.
It's called supply and demand.
Personally, I think its nice to see that these cars are holding their value as well as they are.

throw that dam kelly book down, look at a car and see if it worth it.kelly blue book value on my car is like 4000 yea ok....my car is pristine, leather the paint is perfect so many times someone on here wants to sell his car and asks a fair price taking into consideration his mods new rims condition and if it is more than blue book people always comment like you could get an ls1 for that.....blah blah blah some people take better care of their cars than others screw that book find a car if you like it buy it.

KBB on my car is 12 and i paid 8 for it. It has a small scrape on the front bumper but other then that it was in mint conditon with t-tops, new exhaust, white face guages, lid, y pipe, 6 spd and it had 58k when i bought it, roughly 9 months later it has 69k on it and going. I just have to get some new 02's put on my LM, and my ZL1 Stripes and i am happy as a clam.

who goes by those books anyways? If i want to know how much a car is worth i look on autotrader, you get a realistic idea, what cars are actually selling for, not what they "should be" selling for.
