Windshield hazing after fixing dash pad
I just recently put in a new motor and fixed my dash pad by repairing and recovering it as others have done. Now I have an oily haze that keeps building on the inside of the windshield. I was thinking it might be the heater core or something releasing from the spray adhesive or vinyl when I recovered my dash. Anybody else have this after doing the dash pad fix? It keeps coming back within a day or two of cleaning it. Is it the heater core or the chemicals from doing the dash?

Re: Windshield hazing after fixing dash pad
i is it possible that your heater core has a small leak when my core started to leak it would almost vaporize the coolent and it ended up leaving a film on the windshield feel the carpet on the pass side to see if its wet or you might have gotten somthing in/on the cowel when you did the motor swap and it was sucked in the system and sprayed on the windshield i have had a couple of cars that i bought where the po smoked in the car and there was a film of smoke on the windows that would look clean right after i was done but would return shortly after i had to use a degreaser like simple green wich took the film off for good

I have been checking the floor for water and nothing. I would hate to replace heater core when I didn't have to but I just may have to. Anybody else fix and cover there dash and have the heat draw out any chemicals?
