Will an LT5 fit in a 4th generation?

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I don't think a definitive answer was ever given. Has anyone ever successfully done this swap? Maybe someone tried it and failed? I know GM shoehorned one in a 3rd generation. I've been dreaming about an LT5 Camaro for some time now. And before people go off about how expensive the LT5 is, I already know.

I won't say it is so expensive [although I could only imagine], but are used ones that readily available that you could get access to one? I didn't think there were that many produced in the first place.

God luck if you do! Would be an amazing project.

I'm sure it can be done... how much work is another story.

The distance between the shock towers on the 3rd. and 4th. Gens. are about the same so that should fit. I think the big question is will it fit under the windshield?
here's the 3rd. Gen. article.

I wonder why they put such a cool engine in such an ugly car

Sounded like a pretty cool idea, but would seem to be expensive unless you just had one laying around and wanted to do something different. I met a guy near me that has an LT5 Corvette and has a couple spare motors just sitting.
