where is the mileage stored in a 97?

The PCM or the body control module?

u cant change mileage unless u get a new cluster

that didn't answer my question. This isn't to fake mileage. I am doing a 97 z28 electronics and engine conversion into my 97 base camaro and would like to know how to keep my original mileage if possible, that is why I asked .
