Wheel Hop?

When I stomp on the throttle at ~15 MPH, it feels like the car is really fighting for traction. It doesn't break loose though. Am I getting wheel hop?

Does the car kinda shake? Do you hear it like chirp then stop a bunch of times? I'm not sure if you know the difference but you could just be bogging it down and not knowing it, since you have the 6spd. I have never seen wheel hop on a 4th gen before so I dno....

I know I have it, especially when I chirp the tires going into second gear. The car wants to break them loose but the wheels just hop instead. I know it is bad for the car, so I try not to do it. What can I do to get rid of this problem. I have the bilstein suspension and Auburn rear if it matters.

for slappy- by bilstein suspenion what do u mean? just the shocks, or the shocks and spring combo. lower control arm relocation brackets will help a lot with traction and wheel hop and are pretty fairly priced.

I am not exactly sure. I have the bilstein suspension package straight from SLP. Thanks for the info on the LCA and brackets. I will look into it.

I had wheel hop on my 02 SS. I changed the LCA and panhard bar. That helped some, but it was still there. I then put a Spohn Performance adjustible Torq Arm on. After that I have not had any more wheel hop.
