Ben, you are hardcore buddy!!! Haha! I have had the '95 speedo buried which with the gear calculator and rpm's I was running says I was doing ~174 mph. The '96 I have had just a little past 150 mph... the R1 187mph! I am sure you will hit 200+ mph with your beast in no time!

I know it dangerous, but I love doing the top end stuff!

2000slp2768, where are you located? I know in Indiana there were plenty of roads to top out on with little risk. Out here in NJ, I can't say I would really feel too comfortable doing it anywhere.

135 mph is where i let off in the tacoma while the guy who bought my old car was driving beside me because the speedo only goes to 85 It was pretty scary. I pegged the speedo in that same car, the green Trans am and kept going for quite a while, id say it was around 165-170 on a 8 mile long straight road. Only had the vette up to 100 mph. I try to be easy on it.

NICE work Jeff!

Do you remember that time when all we had done to our Z's was some bolt ons, and we went out with Shane and Ryan late night and I topped out next to Ryans 900RR at like 167 or so, you were just behind me at what we figured later was 163, and then Shane and is black SS with the vibrating driveshaft did 145! That was one of the most fun high speed runs I have done! Those were the good old days huh?

All these high speed runs are fun to hear about and Iv'e had a few too as I mentioned. But lets remember to keep it safe and not put anyone at risk if you can help it. Bad enough if you kill yourself, even worse if you live and kill someone else. I'm not trying to be a downer, you guys get my point though, right?

Iv had mine to 108 then the speed limiter kicks in, I have a 115 speedo.

From what iv have read, the first owner of this car did not wish to have the performance tires whic his why I do not got the 150 speedo.

I have never gone faster than 90 in my IROC, but it wasn't because I was scarred. I'm just not stupid and I have nothing to prove.

ive been to 118 in my car cause thats where the limiter stops it at, and 115 in my moms 01 grand caravan . thats all the caravan had in it, but the camaro still had some left. One night i was 45 miles away from home when the dad of the girl in the passenger seat decided to come home early to find his daughter wasnt there. In that whole 45 miles i never dropped below 100. I figured the cops would be waiting for me outside her house, but luckly it was just her pissed off dad, which would have been bad had i been 18. as a matter of fact that was like the first thing he said to me...
him- "son, how old are you"
me- "uh, 16"
him- "you best be glad your *** aint 18, that could have been bad"

Its a miracle i wasnt pulled over. Geeze that was one of the scariest nights of my life... fun times

145 MPH in the top-end straightaway at Memphis Motorsports Park. Unfortunately so much air got under the ramair III hood that it pulled up and buckled such that we could see daylight shining from underneath. It scared the crap out of me and my driving instructor so we shut it down until I could install some hood pins.
