1994 Camaro z28 A4 Hardtop (145ish), Eagle/SRP forged 355, hot cam kit, comp lifters and pushrods, 30lb svo injectors, 52mm ported tb, 3.23 rear, built 4l60e, wideband tuned, and im running 2000 c5 rims w/ kuhmo's

if i remember correctly the speed limiter on the LS1 is 162 of 168...
i've only had mine up to about 150mph...and still had plenty more in it...not sure of the mods then (was a while ago) but probably basic bolt ons.
170-180 is pretty easy to do with minor boltons, i mean the stock corvette will do mid 170s i think...and they make slightly more power than an FBody, although they have better aerodynamics.

I got up to 161 in my 95Z A4 (windows down and t-tops off). I know the speedo only goes up to 150 but at the time it was still tuned for 3.23 gear instead of a 3.73. So we did the math and it was something like if it says 140ish with a 3.23 a 3.73 equals 161. I was turning around 5800-5900rpm so I don't think it will go to much faster than that. Whenever I put my new cam in it should be around 170ish. Can't imagine how fast you would be going if you topped out with a 2.73 rear gear.

There's an old GMHTP mag with a burgundy 93 Z (supercharged) that had the 2.73's in his M6 that did 212 or so. I looked up topping out in 6th with 2.73's and it was something rediculas like over 300mph. With the 2.73's you can attain over 200 mph before a stock redline in 5th.
BTW, that same burgundy Z was in the cars for sale section a few months back. If I wasn't buried in bills from my Z, I would have bought it. It was a steal at the $14,000 he was asking.

I think you got that mixed around. If its tuned for 3.23s, it will show your going faster than you actually are. Hence, 150 mph w/ 3.23s = 130 mph w/ 3.73s when tuned for 3.23s.

No, because I remember that I had to go about 37 in a 40. I had my mom go beside me in her new truck at 40 and thats what it said. Also I raced my buddy with his 99' GT and I got up to 140 like nothing with it tuned right.
