What is this?

I found this laying in my engine and not sure what it is. it has suction and I believe it leads to the PCV pipe...I cannot find where it goes however. My car has an abnormally low idle so hoping this has something to do with it? If someone could tell me where this goes I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Re: What is this?

It kinda looks like the fresh air check valve for the opti. I have an MSD opti so I am really only guessing, since mine doesn't look exactly like it.

Re: What is this?

What its missing is 1/4 inch rubber line, and the tiny 1/4 plastic elbow that plugs into the top air intake elbow, if you see A little hole in that elbow, then that is it, or at least that is how mine is set up, hope this helps.

Re: What is this?

You can get the hose at most auto parts stores by the inch. You might be able to rig it up to work with a little playing around.

There are 2 vent lines. The filter/flow limiter is in the vacuum line that runs from the nipple on the bottom of the Opti cap to the vacuum on the driver's side of the intake manifold. That's where the part he is asking about is located, and Shoebox's photo shows the complete line. There is a line that extends from the filter/flow limiter to the Opti, that is not in Shoebox's photo.

The air supply line runs from the air intake elbow, where it plugs in with the blue plastic elbow, to the nipple on the bottom (rear section) of the Opti. There are no fittings other than the blue elbow in that line.
