Vent fans not working, AC compressor issues.
My car is a 1995 Trans Am and I'm having some issues with the AC and vent fans in the dash.
The fans do not seem to come on regardless of what position the fan switch is in. A few days ago they seemed to come on, but would not change speed at all (same amount of air was coming out at speed 1 as at 4). Is there a fuse that controls these? The HVAC fuse was good, but I'm not sure if there are any others I should check.
I'm also having an issue with the A/C compressor not wanting to engage. The AC was working a few weeks ago and recently stopped. I thought I would add a can of R134a to the system but the compressor will not engage, even when I jump across the low pressure switch. I replaced the relay for the AC and it didnt have any effect. Is there any way to test if the compressor is bad?
