I'm completely new to camaros. I just traded my 97 TJ (wrangler) 4" lift on 35" mtr's w/ beadlocks for my 95 z28 6 spd t top. My question is some times when I open the drivers door, the trunk latch releases. Any ideas??

Is the hatch motor actually running, you s/b able to hear it ? Does it happen when unlocking the door (you said opening) . If unlocking I would guess the keyless entry receiver could be defective. The receiver is the only place where the door unlock circuit and the hatch release circuit come close to each other. I have a stock FOB and have disconnected the wire at the hatch release motor. The darn button was so sensitive it would open the hatch when I put the FOB in my pocket when leaving the car.

If that doesn't work, try checking the C1 connector at the keyless entry receiver module. The terminals/wires for the hatch release and left side door are right next to each other (C1 terminals B, C, and G).
