Traction Control switch, better or worse?

I have 2000 SS A4 Camaro. It doesn't have the traction Control switch above the radio next to the Camaro logo like my 20001 Z28 did. Now does that mean traction control is always on and you can't turn it off? Or does it mean it does not have traction control at all? Does really make a difference?

Traction control was not "standard equipment". It was an option. If you don't have a switch, you don't have traction control.

To verify, on the service parts label in the glove box, see if you have RPO code "NW9".
