Is the stop adjusted to prevent them from closing fully? Are you experiencing an intermittent problem with the blades not returning to the normal closed position? Have you tried lubricating the shaft? Have you tried adjusting the spring? Have you checked the cable or adjustment and binding?

the stop is not even near the adjustment futher back. Already tried to lubricate no result, but the spring does stick from time to time. Is there a way to change the spring, and I think that is why it is hard to hit gas sometimes.
