thinking of buying a Trans Am I need your opinions

A dealership down the street from me has a 2002 WS6 anniversary T/A. It is an M6 and a t-top car. It has 20K on the clock. He has a $25K sticker price on it. What do you think this car is worth? Do you think that $25K is worth it? thanks

Thats about the ball park I've seen around here, although I've seen some go for as low as $18k lately.

You can get a low mile 03 Cobra for 25K. IMO.. 25K is WAY too much for an 02 Trans AM

Don't be surprised if they don't wanna come down on the price too much! The'll try to throw that "this is the last year that they were made" statement at you!

$25k is reasonable considering the year and mileage. You could probably get him lower though since that is just the sticker.

I'd offer $20k. I might go to 22 MAX. 25k is way too much. Brand new they were what, right around $30,000? That's a 2-3yr old car.

Anniversary as in the collectors? The yellow with black wheels? If so I'd say 25k is a great price.

Those are the collectors editions. All 2002s were called anniversarys.

A year ago, the BMW lot here had a 2002 CE T/A for sale with 6K miles ..... asking $26,000

I told a guy in our club about it and he snapped it up without even thinking hard about it.

Depends on how much they'll go down on it. Go in and talk to them about it now and let them know it's too high. You should never buy a newer car without visiting the dealer at least 3 times prior, unless it's some no-haggle place.

I'm with NBS4 though... and both of my parents have worked for GM for over 15 years, and my grandfather for 35. 03+ Cobras are wicked fast for the price. Only Ford I would ever buy.

YEs it is the collectors edition and has the short throw shifter and some sort of cat-back on it. I haven't gone back to pop the hood yet to see if there is anything done under the hood though.

Does something like the catback take away from the value or add to it?
