Taking Rearview Button Off?

My windshield rearview mirror came off last night when I was adjusting it. I replaced the metal button part, but I did it backwards! Now I need to get it off, it's on there really good, any suggestions?

Re: Taking Rearview Button Off?

Well, here's what my friend did after making the exact same mistake. First he cracked the window trying to twist it off. Then he cursed. Then I cursed, cause it was my old car and I loved it. Then he took one off a junkyard car, and glued it on top of the backward one. Worked perfectly, and you'd never notice unless it was pointed out. Good Luck!
