Question Suspension Issues

Ok, so on my '95 3.4L I have had some crazy suspension noises for the past few months and I'm not sure what they are. I hear a loud metal on metal (i think) banging/cracking noise coming from the front of the car.

These are the circumstances around when it happens:
-while the wheel is turned close to or at lock in either direction.
-when the car is moving forward or backwards at low speeds, but not when it is stationary and you turn the wheel back and forth.
-during hard breaking or acceleration.

This started happening about a couple weeks after I replaced the lower control arms on both sides.

Also, which may be unrelated, I have a suspension rattle when going over bumps/washboards. This might just be bad springs? Help me out guys!

Thanks!
