Stuck.......starts then stalls

She has been parked for the summer while I was away and before I parked it I lost the clutch so I bought a new one installed it and now that I'm trying toI've it it won't stay started she will fire up each time and die right away if I gas it to keep her going it sounds like before I did my opti spark last year along with the fuel pump so I thought clogged fuel filter but while it was a bit nasty the new filter didn't change anything it still stalls out but for like a half a second I can hear she wants to run fine but something just chokes her out I hope the link to the video works

You need to provide basic info about the car - year, engine, any modifications. The comment about the Opti provides a clue.

Scanned it for codes? Checked the fuel pressure? Is there fresh fuel in the tank?

thank u Gary I was trying to see the video too,I watched it n that can be a number of things,like Fred said to check fuel pressure,get a scan on it n we can go from there

I got her running it was the maf.......but I have a hissing coming out of the intake sounds like vac leak until I pull off the air going into the intake then it gets loud...95 z 28 5.7 lt1 m6 140000. Fuel pump last year opti plugs water pump and wires a month or 2 before just put a fuel filter on this week. Copy and paste the link I don't know why it's giving me problems

What "air"?

You still need to provide the basic info about the car.... not all years of the LT1 are the same. We need that info to help you.

Confusing....you indicate you "got her running it was the MAF". But then you indicate "I don't know why it's giving me problems". Is it OK or is it still stalling immediately after startup?

Air induction noise is completely normal.... it's the intake manifold vacuum pulling air through the almost closed throttle body. The rubber intake elbow muffles the noise, and it's going to get louder if you pull the rubber elbow off. When you do remove the elbow with the engine running (if that's what you did) or while trying to start it, you are allowing air to bypass the MAF sensor, making it useless. When you do this, the PCM should default to speed-density mode, allowing it to run without the MAF sensor functioning.

The noise might be louder than normal with the elbow in place if there is a tear in the elbow, or it is not full over the flange of the throttle body, particularly at the bottom where you can't see it.

If it's still running badly - same question from post #2 - Scanned it for codes? Checked the fuel pressure? Is there fresh fuel in the tank?
