Re: stop leak

Do you know where the leak is coming from? I added dye to the oil so I can see any leaks with UV light. The stop leak stuff usually only helps very small leaks and will condition seals to help them swell up. I just kept recharging my system each year, since it was 4 months before it would go low enough not to blow cold. I can recharge for free at work, so fixing it right wasn't necessary. A lot of time, its the O rings and other parts of the system that are the problem with leaks.

Re: stop leak

Any leak-sealing chemical will gum up everything including the leak in the compressor. I suggest you pick up a good used compressor. Tons of guys who have deleted their A/C should have them available.
