so i gotta 86 iroc with the 305 tpi and so far i have replaced the alternator and battery. alternator tested with charger says its good. my prob. is sometimes when i shut the car off and go to restart it 5 min later it wont start when i turn the key to start it my voltage gauge drops like its drawing alot. it just did it in the driveway checked the volts on the battery charger it was around 13. so does it sound like my starter is dragging or bad?

nevermind i think i found the prob. voltage is where it needs to be looks like starter is getting stuck after the car has been warmed up = starter is going bad but only giving issues after its hot. im thinkin new starter and maybe some heat tape to put on it

yea i had a simalar problem just change the starter before it wipes out your ignition switch like it did on mine , i had to tear down the colum to replace the melted switch and harness
