i have been running around for about a month now, after my 6-speed tranny and FAST pcm swaps, with out a speedoameter. it didn't bother me that much while i was trying to get the car tuned and all the major problems solved but now that all that is under control can anyone tell me how to get my speedo to work? i have a speed sensorin the tranny and the gauge is not hooked to anything. do i need a dakota digital SGI-5 box or something? how would i tap into the ABS like some people do? anyone got any ideas?

You could have just kept the PCM and let it run the speedo. Do you still have it? I run a MoTeC engine management system, but kept the stock PCM for the speedo and emissions controls.

i still have it. but its for an auto and now i am a 6-speed so would i need to get it reflashed? so just hook in the speed sensor input and the speedo output right?

You would need to have it reflashed. The A4 and M6 reluctor gears have different numbers of teeth (A4=40, M6=17).

Won't he need an M6 VSS too if he doesn't already have one?

cool thanks injuneer i have a fe buddies at a chevy dealership that cna reflash the PCM for me and i have the speed sensor in the tranny already.
