Is this the SLP dual/dual muffler?

http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...20&BIG=31020-1

Is that 'SS replacement' the same as the dual/dual muffler? Or is the dual/dual something different? I have a Loudmouth currently, but I am changing my setup, and want a very quiet muffler like the dual/dual. If that is not the correct muffler, does anyone know where I can buy JUST the dual/dual muffler? I don't want tips or anything, just the muffler.

No, that is for what they call the SLP 2OTL exhuast.

This is the Dual/Dual.

I know that they sell just the Dual/Dual muffler, you just may have to call them direct.

That's correct, an easy way to tell is to compare the sizes of the pipes in the pictures. Look at all 3 pipes and see which one is bigger. In the picture you posted the one on the inlet side is 3" and the two on the outlet side are 2.5" Try to visualize it in your head, there would be a 3" pipe going in one end and then 2 x 2.5 inch outlet pipes exiting the other side together. That is why it is called TOTL, or Two On The Left.

For the dual You need a muffler with an exit on each side, not both on the same side. One side of the muffler will have a 2.5" exit and the other side will have a 3" inlet and a 2.5" exit.... like the one that n2oblk posted.

I'm looking for a relatively quiet muffler myself, and I've been thinking that the SLP unit might be OK, but I don't recall whether or not it is quiet. What is the word on this.

As a point of reference, I find the Borla with middle plate horribly loud, and I really don't like the sound either. Too sharp. I like a very mellow but low rumble sounding exhaust no sharp popping sound.

The dual/dual is a quiet muffler, i had it on my WS6. It is stock sounding at idle, but comes alive with rpm. It's a nice mellow tone without any rasp, snapping, and popping that some of the other systems have.

I have the SLP Dual/Dual system on my car with long tubes and ORYP and love it. Quiet at idle and cruise but sounds real nice at WOT.

My Corsa setup is quiet when cruising and idling, but has a great sound when accelerating. Are you looking for quiet ALL the time, or do you just want something that doesn't drone on the highway?

It's my first aftermarket exhaust system, and I don't think I'll ever use anything else.

Drone I will not abide with. I don't mind if an exhaust is a bit noisy on acceleration, but I don't want anything that is so loud that it can be heard blocks away.

That describes the Corsa setup perfectly, except that I would never call the acceleration sound "noise" -- it's Music!

You can listen to recordings of Corsa exhaust systems on the Corsa website. They actually do sound like that.

Bear in mind that those are with stock manifolds and cats. If you ever want to go long tubes (or shorties) with no cats, it changes the tone of the exhaust drastically. That is one thing that I like about the Dual/Dual, with long tubes and no cats, it still maintains it's quiet idle, no drone and good WOT.

Check out www.ls1sounds.com also.
