sagging doors

my car is a 93 camaro, and anyone familiar with camaros knows that the doors tend to sag after some years. well, over the last 11 years, gravity has taken its toll on my hinges. i want to know what i have to do to solve this problem. what products are out there and has anyone else performed this before. i am fairly resourceful and decently inclined to mechanical work. also, would it be better to get a helper for this job seeing as the doors are pretty heavy. all your help is appreciated, please let me know what you can

Depends on exactly what the problem is. If the hinges are worn when obviously your going to have to replace them. This is a dealer part. If they are sagging due to body flex, etc. when they may only need adjusting. This can often be done with the proper application of a 2X4. Fine someone to help, who's done this before.

As far as I know, you only have 2 choices... either replace your worn hinges with the O.E.M.'s or convert your doors to the swing up style Lambo doors. One more option would be to try to adapt a beefier hinge from another vehicle to your doors.

I am not too sure but you can probably replace the bushings and pins to fix the doors... Again, I have not had a problem with door sagging on my car...

Had sagging doors on my vert. 5.0 and just replaced the pins/bushings. Fixed everything perfectly. I got more hardened pins also so the problem wouldn' arise again. Never did while I owned it.
