RX7 LT1 swap almost done

RX7 LT1 swap almost done

I have been working on an LT1 engine swap in my RX7 for a few months. Its almost done by now. I wanted to share a few pictures:

Whats the weight on one of those and what was done to the motor?

I weighted my FC before the swap and it tipped the scales at 2758 lbs. After the swap it is supposeg to gain about 100 lbs.

The engine was bored .030 over and decked to .005" in the hole. ARP rod bolts and new bearings.
A pair of LE2 heads are sitting on top of the decks and small LE cam with a ported intake and 58mm TB complete the top end.

Nice Ricardo! This reminds me of Jimlab's 396 that put out 640hp that he stuck in an RX7 years ago. Of course he had a Hogan intake in place of the stocker.

I've been driving around for a year now and am very pleased with the end result. It has turned into a never ending project though.

Man that sure is a clean swap, great job!! How does it run? I bet its pretty quick in that light/nimble chassis... Beautiful car!
