Rough idle...low on power

Hi everyone. My 95 Z28 Camaro has a problem. At idle the car acts like it wants to die almost where all the interior lights and headlights flicker on and off. but as soon as i hot the accelerator its fine. On the highway the car just doesn't feel "right". I can feel the car vibrating and shaking at idle and at highway speeds. feels a bit low on power too. It does it immediately when I start it...hot or cold. Here's the kicker, in the last month I've replaced...Fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, plugs, wires, AND the Opti(Although it was replaced with a junky re manufactured one from Autozone.....Long story...) Thanks for any input in advance.

You can't keep guessing at whats wrong. For the price you paid for parts that were not bad, you could own a code reader. Your previous thread explains how to retrieve the codes. I personally think using a cable with your laptop is the cheapest and by far the best option there is.

Re: Rough idle...low on power

Search on 'OBD1 USB ALDL Cable' I got mine here ALDL OBD1 OBD cable OBDI OBD2 engine codes . Some good reading and links at this site. NOTE your car is OBD1 but since it is a '95 it uses the 16 pin (OBD2) style dash connector cable. Next you can download FreeScan from here FreeScan . Set up com port in Freescan and click Force Data interact and start communications. Or to see DTC display, there is a selection on the main screen. You can get lots of help here if you have any problems. If windows 7 or Vista I think it may need to install and run in compatibility mode, not sure, search around if needed. .

Re: Rough idle...low on power

You don't need the light to be on to have a stored code. Plus some codes do not even turn the light on. Have you checked to see if any parts stores have the right code reader?
