Removing the glass in the door?

The small metal peice which travels up and down the regulator broke away from the metal attached to the glass inside the door...

the only way i think i can fix it is by removing the glass in the window, which i don't know how to do...

just how am i suppose to do that or is there a better way....

i really need a digital camera...

Mine broke a couple weeks back as well. Sounds like it is in the same place even.

I haven't pulled the window yet, but may try tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes if I do.

I would take your car to a glass shop cause the window has to be removed from its plastic hangers before you can fix it. Then it has to be placed in the door then reattached to the tracks with a pop rivot gun. That is my 2 cents. The way i know how to do this i tried to replace my window on mine and had to take it to the shop because i didnt have the tools.

Is that on the '89 you have listed? Maybe things have changed? I didn't get around to looking.

I have seen it on mine as well as my father-in-laws 1978 Z28. Both are the same.
