Lightbulb rear view mirror lamps

On my Camaro the mirror light would not work. So as I was at the salvage yard I saw a 95 firebird with the mirror and bout it for a couple bucks. So now the lights on mirror work ,but they will not turn off while driving .They do turn of a couple minutes after pulling key and closing door Any Ideas Thanks Richard

Re: rear view mirror lamps

Make sure the dimmer **** is not rotated all the way up to the "interior lights" position.
