Re: Rear Abs sensors 1995 Z28 with trac control
Is that the ABS+ASR sensor that mounts in the backing plate at the end of the axle? Not the same as the ABS-only sensor that mounts on the diff housing. Just checking.

Right Injuneer! sensors mount on both rear wheels not on the diff. Rock auto list them, but they never have them in stock..crazy I checked dealerships etc....no availability.

Rock generally has the factory part number shown in the info for the part, even if it's an aftermarket part. I didn't see a listing for a 95 part, but if you found one compare to the 98 part #.
Run the part # on eBay and see if anyone lists application by year.
How did you verify the sensor itself is faulty, and not a problem with harness, connector, dirt on sensor, etc.?

Re: Rear Abs sensors 1995 Z28 with trac control
I was originally getting a abs fault code 34 on LR wheel so i moved the sensor to to the RR wheel and the fault code followed the bad sensor and threw a ABS fault code 35. No one has this sensor from 1994-2002. Impossible to locate. I've been to dealership, contacted GM and all aftermarket shops etc....no luck! I did post a WTB thread so maybe I'll get lucky. There is a guy up in Canada that as the mother of all Camaro/Firebird salvage yard. I sent him an email......David T's Camaro & Firebird | David T's Camaro & Firebird If he doesn't have it I give up. I'll just put some black tape over ABS Inop/ASR light...LOL

Originally got ABS fault code 34 LR Wheel, so I swaped left sensor to right rear wheel and code followed bad sensor. Fault code 35 RR wheel. Dealer doesn't have it, all aftermarket retailers cant get it. I did post a WTB on forum so maybe I'll get lucky. I did find the mother of all camaro/firebird salvage yards, (David T's Camaro's and Firebirds) but its in edmonton alberta canada. I sent him an email so if he doesn't have it Ill just put some black tape over the ABS light....LOL

I have repaired three wheel speed sensors on 3 different type vehicles and each had an intermittent cable. I just tracked down the break and spliced in a new wire. I know it isn't recommended to repair these this way, but if you can't get a new one, what else can you do? Use a multimeter to measure the sensor resistance compared with the other side, then wiggle the cable until you see where the break is located.

I needed some for my 98 z28 and ordered them on rock auto only to find our they aren’t at all the right ones for the car even though rock auto said they would work for a 98 camaro with traction control. I ended up buying a used oem set on eBay since i couldn’t a aftermarket one that looked just like the oem one does

Because this is the only place I have found that people have the same issue I do and I need to find 1 for my 1995 z28. I was told that the 1995 z28 is the only year with this sensor. If anyone knows where to find one,Please let me know.
