Rattling/Vibrating under Center Console
Hello! During highway cruising at between 50-60mph, I hear a rattling/vibrating noise that sounds like its coming directly underneath the center console somewhere. It also does it when decelerating from about 20-0mph. Sometimes I can hear it at idle too sometimes. Any obvious things it can be? Car sometimes clunks into gear so I was thinking maybe the u-joint?

Re: Rattling/Vibrating under Center Console
Well just crawled under the car to look for anything. I put my hands around the driveshaft and was able to turn it about half a inch, dont know if this is normal or not. Next, I found that there is a bolt in the middle of the transmission crossmember which holds the transmission mount in place. This bolt was so loose it was ready to fall out. I can turn it with my fingers but the darn thing just wont come out. Ive tried using a socket too. Its like its stripped. But it looks like its going to fall off and is very loose. But anyway, could thid one bolt cause that rattling im hearing? Is it normal for the driveshaft to have play?

there shouldn't be much play in the drive shaft, but if the rear tires are off of the ground and the transmission is in neutral, the drive shaft should spin with ease.
