Radio problems

Installed a new Sony into my 94 Z28 with the adapter to plug directly into the car. All of the functions work as intended but no sound. Occasionally I will get sound from the passenger side then it cuts out. Also on occasion when I turn the car off, the headlights will be off but the car beeps as if they are on. Radio works at this point until the lights "turn off" again. Any suggestions?

Re: Radio problems

Did your car come with the standard audio system, or the optional Delco/Bose (RPO "UU8" - cassette or RPO "U1T" - CD) system?

Re: Radio problems

I believe it came with the standard system. Bought the car with an aftermarket radio already installed but it stopped working. Tested it in my mustang and my truck didn't work in either of those. The new radio however works just no sound from drivers side at all and occasionally the passengers side. The speakers look to be the standard speakers as well
