Hey guys I new so please help I've just bought a 96 z28 w factory Bose system. The previous owner had replaced the radio w an aftermarket jvc all Bose speakers work as they should. The right speaker is not there but the wires are I bought some aftermarket speakers for the doors without running new speaker wires how can I hook these up I know there's 4 wires to the Bose amp grin and white and orange and black I believe orange and black are hot and ground for the amp so can I use the green and white to hook up the speaker without using the amp to the new speaker

Pretty sure the audio signal out of the Bose head unit will not be able to drive a standard speaker. Head unit is designed for non-amplified low power audio output the amp is placed in the speaker to save space under the dash. Appears he's running a JVC aftermarket head unit and not the stock Bose.

I have never worked with the Bose amp/speaker combos, but generally you cannot just wire to the amp inputs without power applied and expect it to work. You should either hook up the power wires or somehow bypass the amp entirely. A bypass would require disassembling the amp/speaker combo. Can't help you there.

Followup: I failed to read for comprehension also. Lack of punctuation didn't help me either. Use the wires you suspected.

Yea just re-read the post sounds like car had a Bose system, radio/receiver replaced w/JVC, now running w/Bose speakers and wants to replace with other speakers. All I can say is speakers must match current radio speaker output. Could be powered or just a preamp level, some head units w/internal amp can provide either depending on your setup beyond the unit.. EG: my cheap Panasonic in the G20 Van gave me an option.. speaker output or preamp output.

I think the basic question is which wires can he run from his amped (is it?) JVC to conventional speakers, by using the correct two wires from the Bose 4-wire harness. The only "Bose" part is the wiring harness.
