Pictures of my Borla Exhaust, what year is it for?
I just bought this Borla exhaust. However, I'm not to certain what year it is for. Go to the link for pics.
I bought it from a Corvette Junkyard, and the owner said they took it off of a 97' Camaro. On the actual exhaust, I find "93 TA" written on it in white marker.
I've got a 94' TA, will this fit the stock exhaust?
Help!

Pretty sure they are not. 96-97 switched to dual cats. Not sure if that's going to change where the Y pipe bolts up to the catback though.
And if they were, I'm not sure why stores would sell exhausts for 94-95, and a different one for 96-97, especially when the 94-95 ones are usually a bit more expensive. Mabye it's a marketing scheme but I figured there'd be some reason for it.

The only differnce between a 93-95 exhaust and a 96-97 exhaust is the lenght of the i pipe. The single cat cars (93-95) had a S-pipe which connected the exhaust to the cat converter. The difference between t he 96-97 exhaust and the LS1 exhaust was the hangers. With modification, any exhaust can be made to work on any car.
To make that exhaust work on your '94, you need to cut the intermediate pipe after it comes over the axle, where it is strait, and have an exhaust shop fabricate a 3" s pipe to connect it to your catylitic conveter.
I actually have a LS1 Borla exhaust on my car and had the same thing done.

Ive had mine for 3 years+ now and it still sounds great, It's only reciently that its starting to rattle against something though.
It should fit, mine is for a V6 and it has a pipe that goes from 3"- 2.25" and connects right after the S pipe.

yeah 93-95OBDI cars had a shortter I pipe for the cat. those borla system have different part numbers, but it shouldn't take much work for it to fit. even though borla change their design(i notice the flange is rotated a little on the new kits and it doesn't center in the tip cut out on T/As as well as the old one) i believe the first LS1 cars got the old design and they work fine. there are a few shops that can get all 3 part numbers, but since you probably got a good deal on it, go with it. oh yeah, thats a 1995 1/2 and up kit.
