replacing door glass 94 z28
Sure this has come up but couldnt find the answer the little roller wheel has broken off my window frame I had plans of trying to weld the wheel back on but it has been lost so now I plan on just replacing the window with one from a junk yard. Spent awhile today trying to get the window out with no luck is there a trick to it and also any suggestions on getting one out at the junk yard since these cars have no battery to operate the window motor to go up and down

I would bring my own battery. If the wiring or switches are bad, I would connect the battery to the window motor wires directly. The service manual says to remove the door panel and position the window half way up. Provide some way to support the window or prevent it from falling. Then drill out three rivets holding the glass to the support. Then you lift the glass out complete with some small hardware attached.
I suspect that drilling out the rivets leaves the part you want still in the door. Not sure how to proceed after that.
