Is this normal? battery useage and life
Car is a 1997, since i got it in 99
New batt:
june 00'
Feb 01'
July 01'
may 03'
dec 03'
Now
Dont have anything on the electrical system that would really effect it. I have a small 10'' sub/amp, but it doesn't matter if it is unplugged or not
with nothing but the FACTORY stereo on, i get about 5 minutes of battery life or about 5 days of not driving it before the battery dies. right now
Secondly, slightly different subject, im on my 4th alternator as well.
Does anyone else have this problem? stupid camaros

not normal, my battery is over 2 years old, just a die hard battery. I didnt start my car for 2 months this winter and the battery was still good when i did start her up. During the blackout we had on the east coast, i had my stereo on for quite a while with it just on the accessories on position. more than 5 mins thats for sure.

So what do i do? cant exactly replace everything.
To make sure theres no misunderstanding, when i have a brand new battery, it will last full stero, lights, amp/sub for maybe 2 hours... Thr problem is after about 6 month thats goes down to about 5 mins.
Guys at auto parts stores say its the "heat" ???
I know heat kills batterys, but i dont have the only car in TX and FLorida

Draining your battery kills batteries too. If you run your stereo a lot without the engine running that may be the problem, if you can't find a drain on the system. Don't let your battery drain out! I bought my 97 new and am still on the original battery, stored in the winter while running it every couple to four weeks.
