Smile Next Step?

Hey everyone, I'm no expert at modding my car but I love to street race people and bring my car to the track every once in a awhile. What would be the next thing to do with the current mods I have now?

Re: Next Step?

x pipe with duals with 4 inch would be ideal but that cost $$$ .... Id change out the muffler for now with your currant hp.

my brothers 96 Callaway GS supernatural has no muffler and its not really all that loud

Re: Next Step?

You want a full catback with a 3" mandrel bent intermediate pipe. That's where you will find a meaningfull power increase. If you are planning on more engine mods in the future, consider the Mufflex 3-1/2" or 4" catback with the Flowmaster 30-series race muffler.

Re: Next Step?

The Mufflex system comes with the Race Series. I pushed 800HP through the 4" catback, with no problems. I deleted it to save weight, and went to a pair of 3" Borla XR1's bolted to the collectors, and 3" pipes to the rear axle with turndowns. We were unable to measure any significant HP difference between the Mufflex catback and the Borla duals. A buddy of mine put over 900HP through the Mufflex 4'.

Mufflex also offers Magnaflow and Spintech.
