Thumbs down New CAT 445 bucks

Just called jason cromer and he quoted me 445 bucks for a new cat on my 95 Z. I thought that was alot , even though I will go with and aftermarket one anyways. I also got a price on o2 sensors and they went up 7 bucks. From 30 to 37. I guess all the buissness we give him is finally showing up on hike up on prices. He still is one of the best though

The cost is a dealer increase, not his. Delco O2s have gone up. Factory cats are stupid expensive. Go with aftermarket.

They are so high from GM due to the Y pipe and cat are one piece.. you can get the one piece units for about 350 aftermarket [cat and Y]
If you can get by using your Y pipe, an aftermarket cat is a lot cheaper..
Cheapest is with no flange on either end.. [just 3" pipes]
With the GM flange to bolt the catback to, are about 130..

I have tried to find a source for that flange by itself, but haven't had any luck..[ if anyone knows where to get one please post info..]
