Need an affordable Torque Wrench for engine rebuild, any recommendations ??

Need a torque wrench for my LT1 complete rebuild.
So preferably it needs to cover all the torque values or would it be better to use 2 wrenches ?? (1 for lower values, 1 for bigger values).

The wrench is not supposed to break my bank so do you any of you have any recommendations for a good wrench(es) that are good enough and affordable at the same time ??

Thanks for the help,

Sergio

I bought one at Sears. 3/8" drive, 10-75 ft lbs, locking mechanism, for around $80.

I bought the same one as RandyL.

The torque wrench seemed right on. I checked it against my dads 300 dollar snap on.

I love racheting wrenches. I have a set in metric and standard. (Husky) They are a must have when installing your headers and bellhousing, stuff like that.

If you want to get right down and picky about all of the torque values (which I do), then you will need 2 different torque wrenches. 1 for foot pounds and 1 for inch pounds. You can get away with just the one for foot pounds and save yourself a little $$. OTOH, if this will be the only rebuild you plan on doing you can save yourself even more cash and borrow the tools from someone.

BTW, I use Craftsman with no complaints.

It's indeed just for this complete rebuild and i intend to finish my VW project aswell later next year (Camaro kinda used all funds) so loaning is an option but i don't know ANYbody around here with a TW let alone a Torque wrench in foot pounds as we use metric here and for easyness i'd rather not convert all values all the time.
In case a proper TW isn't too exepensive i'd like to order one from the States.

Hope that explains
