Why can I not find a rebuild kit for the LT1 rear calipers? GM discontinued the kit AND the caliper and all the auto parts stores say they are out of stock and cant be ordered. Does anyone here know of any hiding spots that I can look? The parts in my calipers dont look bad and all the rubbers look good but I just didnt want to put old stuff back into newly painted calipers. I need Dorman D352746.

The AcDelco kit only comes with the rubber boots for the guide pins and 4 bolts, 2 of which cannot be used if retaining the factory Ebrake setup. The Dorman kit has an estimated 45 day back order on it as of last week. I called Rock Auto, Jegs, Summit, all local auto parts stores as well as looked around online through a google search for the Dorman part number and not one single vendor had it in stock. THe tech guy from Jegs put me on hold which he called Dorman and they told him that the kit was on national backorder with no estimated time to have them in stock again but expect it to be around 45 days!!!!!
I am not putting my calipers back together with the old parts that were inside of them. I cannot let these $10 kits hold me up. I will rebuild them when the kits become available again.
