im looking right now at the may 03 GMHTP, and on page 17 there is a A4 TA with about the same mods my car has that runs 12.20s@108.8 w/ a converter and a 1.6 60'. its race weight is 3378. using the slowgt.com calculator based on the calculated 335hp that car has from its mph and weight, when i put my race weight in with that hp it comes out to 106.2mph. since my car is an m6 and that car is a a4 with a converter my car should run more mph at a given weight and hp. not all lt1s are slow.

i could probably pick up some hp by getting rid of my single out flowmaster for a bullet muffler and some tuning. ill worry about that after my extra set of heads get back from GTP.

i forgot the fore most rule of the internet, if there isnt a video it didnt happen. i guess when i watched David Wolfe make a 4.95@152 1/8 mile pass in Ken Nelsons mustang that didnt happen either, afterall no one posted a video of it.

relax, if you look in my posts i never once said i didnt beleive you i would just like to see the video because It would be interesting to see, that might be a baseline for what ill run, If you say it happened then it happened, but a video makes it that much more sweet.

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

with the LT1 in my sig I have ran many ls1's and lost. now i pick my runs with ls1 carefully. if they arent bonestock, i have no reason running them on the street, or roll races for that matter. i learned cuz, the few that i ran on the street that werent to modded. would put atleast 2 cars on me from 45-100. and there wasn ta point in taking it that far, but it was nice to se how bad they beat me. at the track is where i stand a chance. if i am goin to run an ls1 that is where it will be at.
i dyno'ed my car 2 weeks ago, and came up with 267/304RW. s
seems pretty slow to everyone else's LT1.
just figured i would post a slow lt1 for ya, cuz it seems like there arent any in this thread

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

actually with a 13.09 i would assume you'd be BEATING stock ls1s fairly regularly...

that ain't slow... im praying for a 12.999 this weekend with real good conditions and might not get it

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

any ls1 should pull mid 13's maybe high even if you have 2:73's... full tank of gas... less than perfect traction

my first time at the track with the ws6 best i could manage was a 13.6

but now with just a missing y pipe (=]) an slp lid and et streets and a little cooler air this weekend with my progress over the past few weeks i think i might just kiss a 12.999 *crosses fingers*

Re: LS1 HP Vs. LT1 HP

Blind if i can find out how to get those vids on the computer i will show you but i will have many more this summer from the track that i will post. and for the people that say i stretch the truth i am not claiming to run 12's or 13's i ran a 14.7 in colorado which the track is 6250 feet above sea level and yes it does depend on the driver but i have raced mostly A4 LS1 and beat them. not by much only a few tenths but it still counts as a win. By the way the 14.7 was without the Long tubes and my tune
