low coolant light

low coolant light

every time i drive my car, when it gets about up to running temp. i get a low coolant light. radiator is full and so is the reserve tank. why does that damn light keep coming on. enginge never steams or gets hotter than 210 so what do you guys think is goin on?

Since the radiator is full probably just a bad/dirty sensor - it's on the passenger side of the radiator near the top. Something like $30? at the dealer, or you can just disconnect it and the light won't come on. Think they did away with them in '00, my car doesn't have one.

Mine did that when I bought it. Search of the boards found: the sensors are junk, so are the replacements, so not worth replacing. I disconnected mine, no problems.

can anyone tell me specifically where that sensor would be? do i have to remove anything to get to it or is it easy to access?

nevermind, found and disconnected that useless sensor and that took care of my problem, thanks guys

You're temp gauge will still tell you if you ever overheat.
