To JetHot or not to JetHot
I just purchased a set of non-coated Pacesetter LT's and want some input on whether or not I should get them coated or not. I dont drive the car in the winter so salt is not a problem but do drive in rain sometimes. If I dont get them coated what do I do before I install them...Paint? Just want to know some pros and cons. Thanks

Re: To JetHot or not to JetHot
I wish I'd have had mine coated. Found a local shop that would do it for $75. I see alot of posts about how the jet hot LTs have rust problems, so I was plenty willing to gamble on a local shop's coating. But I was running out of time, and they wanted a week. I'd recommend calling powdercoat shops in your area, many do ceramic coatings too. Good Luck!

Re: To JetHot or not to JetHot
FWIW, after less than 1 year, both my Coated Jet Hots, and Coated Pacesetters have started to rust and discolor. They look fine from the top, but crawl under and they are pretty ugly.

Re: To JetHot or not to JetHot
After almost a year of having my non coated macs before i sold them, they were barely starting to show small spots of rust. I went with the coated Pacesetter LT's but they haven't arrived yet.
