ignition switch installation
i've got a 95 z28 auto, 3 days after i bought it. i was unable to get it to crank. iwas pretty confident it was the ignition switch so i bought a new one and installed it... however its still not cranking. before i start looking for other problems i want to make sure its installed correctly... i pulled the tab out of the switch that holds it in the "lock" position before it was completley installed and i had to remove the switch, so i wanna make sure its in the proper position. is there anyway to do that? it will turn the dashlights on. and you can turn the key where it hits the spring when you're trying to start, but no cranking no power, to theft detterent/starter relay.

Have you checked Shoebox's guide to replacing the ignition switch?
