I think I messed up on my harness

2000 camaro ss harness and motor:

So I am almost done with my harness I finished wiring the fuse block and relays so got all my orange wires together and installed them on the fuse box. When I went to tape them up I noticed on of the Orange wires was cut off. I am sure this one goes to the pcm and I guess I accidentally clipped it. Where does this This attach to the harness. I did see that on the blue pcm plug I took both orange wires out cuz the pinout form I got from lt1swap.com said to remove. And those 2 become one down the line. I am having trouble putting pics hopefully this is enough info for some one to help me. Thanks in advance.

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

What exactly are you trying to do - put the LS1 into come vehicle other than a 2000 Camaro SS?

Also not clear what orange wire was clipped, or where it was clipped.

In the factory diagram for the 2000 the orange 12V wire (circuit 340) runs from PCM BAT fuse at junction block 1, to pins #57 and #20 in C1 (Blue). The orange wire splits at splice S106, then feeds the two PCM pins.

Do you have the 2000 factory wiring diagrams?

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

So I got a diagram from lt1swap.com to do my own stand alone harness so I can put this motor on my c10 Chevy. The diagram said to pull out pins # 20 and 57 for external connections. So I pulled those out and sent them to the fuse block that I wired up. So know that wire that is suppose to go back to the harness to feed the pcm was cut. (It's the pin 20 and 57 pin becomes 1 and after that the wire was clipped) I don't have a factory diagram. So does this wire go to s106?
Here's the link to the diagram I used.

That's exactly what I said above:

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

Ok so I think im not wording it correctly so I have pin 20 and 57 that connect and make one wire down the line after that , the wire is snipped. So I have basically a Y. I know one is pin 20 and the other is 57 but where does the wire where it becomes one hook up to the harness? Does it go to s106 or is that connection between 20 and 57 is s106? I'm sorry I'm new to wiring and I'm glad that you r helping me. Does it go in another orange wire splice?

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

S106 is a "splice". That means it connects several wires together. In this case you take the one orange wire from the fuse, and the two orange wires from the PCM pins, and hook them all together in a single connection. I don't know whether that splice is internal to your harness, or external. Typically the harness encases a bundle of wires in corrugated wire loom. How many orange wires are in the bundle for the C1 (blue) connector? Is there a single orange wire at the fuse panel bundle?

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

In the original car, the two orange wires at pins 20 and 57 go to the 3-way splice already mentioned. The 3rd orange wire from the splice goes to C101, which is the connector atop the passenger side wheel well and closest to the pcm. It is the only orange wire there. From the other side of C101, it goes to the junction block and the PCM BAT fuse.

I suspect the orange cut wire(s) go to C101. If there is no C101 in the application, there might be another cut orange wire and you would then connect both loose ends.

Where does the diagram say to remove the wires to pins 20 and 57? I could not find that.

Re: I think I messed up on my harness

So I'm swapping the motor to a Chevy truck. And it said to pull them out for external connections. And also said to clip off those clips. Now would it be possible it meant to leave 20 and 57 in the pcm and run the other wire to the fuse block. That makes more sense right? And thank you guys so much this Is basically the last wire I have to figure out.

What said this? Where is the document? Yes, pins 20 and 57 must go to a constant 12v line (always on whenever the battery is installed)
