how to renew leather seats?
#2
You can keep the leather clean and soft with conditioners and cleaners, but once it's worn away, you pretty much have to replace it. There are some kits that addvertise "like new repair" but they are not very good, won't last, and usually look like crap.

You can remove the seat cover (or have an upholstery shop do it if you can't) and replace the outer leather sections with new material, in the same or a contrasting color. The cover-up seat cover kits look like crap. If not, replace the seats with some aftermarket ones.

Ok, the seats are in now. they are from a '97 Camaro with the 30th anny logo.
I cleaned them with a leathercleaning towel from meguiars and they look a lot better now. The worn area isn't that bad like I saw it in the pics so I'm really happy now.
